Mission To work together as a non-profit organization of community organizations and individuals, to address the housing needs of homeless people in Rusk County. Company Overview Welcome to the Rusk County Lighthouse Facebook page.

There is HOPE for the homeless of this community. Rusk County Lighthouse serves families and individuals with emergency overnight stays, short-term shelter stays, and case management. You can help support the Rusk County Lighthouse in several ways.

One is as easy as putting your Gordy's County Market receipts into the collection can be located at the Pioneer Branch Bank located right at Gordy's County Market (in Ladysmith). We would also ask you to consider making a financial contribution to our shelter. Foreclosures, job loss, increased living expenses and the general state of the economy have resulted in an increase in the number of families and individuals requesting shelter and services. Shelter and services are provided at no cost to the client. We need you to help ensure that these services are available.

About Us

Hope Village is a non-profit 501c3 that was founded in January of 2016. Our vision is to offer tiny housing alternatives for those that reside in Chippewa County, WI. Our vision is to create a tiny house village in the city of Chippewa Falls, the county seat of Chippewa County, WI

Hope Village will eventually be a community of 10 tiny homes nestled together and around a common building that will be the hub of the community. The common building will house the bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a community room, kitchen, meeting space, maker space/shop, and retail space. We have researched various tiny home villages for the un-sheltered and want Hope Village to take the best of each, with the hopes of making Hope Village a great place to live and an asset to our community.

Each tiny home will have a sleeping area, a private bathroom area that will house a chemical toilet as you would find in an RV, a Kitchenette that will include a microwave and mini-refrigerator. Each house cost about $5000.00 – $10000.00 to build using volunteer labor and a mixture of new and recycled materials.

In the early stages of the village’s development, the homes were used for emergency housing, and each home was hosted by a local church. Now that the group has acquired the property for the village the houses will become transitional in nature.

About Us

Lake Holcombe Lions Club was established in 1972 and has 68 members at this time. All members of the Lake Holcombe Lions Club are volunteers, as are all Lions worldwide. In fact, Lions are dues paying members, whose membership is by invitation only which must be approved by their local chapter. Lions members consider it an honor and a privilege to serve their local community through the outreach activities of the Lions, and view their service as an opportunity to give back to their community. The funds raised and distributed by the Lake Holcombe Lions Club are used to support many worthy initiatives. Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
